The fact that Robin Wong works for Olympus Malaysia hasn’t stopped him from becoming one of the most popular and trusted Olympus reviewers on the web. Why? Because his words are always backed up by beautiful imagery.
Robin’s recent post is just another example of his talent behind the camera. To celebrate his upgrade to the Olympus OM-D E-M10 II from his old E-M5, he decided to use his new camera to shoot a wedding assignment. As always, the images he shares are crisp, bright, colourful and full of emotion.
Using the camera out in the field also allowed him to write up some thoughts about how the newest OM-D compares to its 3-year-old sibling. He also takes the time to shed some new light on the mirrorless versus DSLR debate. In his opinion, the biggest fear photographers have about switching over to a Micro Four Thirds system (at least in Malaysia) isn’t related to how the camera will perform but rather how they will be perceived by their clients.
As for choosing between the E-M10 II and the E-M5 II, Robin states the following:
I think the question of which camera to upgrade from E-M5 was a simple one to answer: choosing between E-M5 Mark II and E-M10 Mark II…the deciding factor comes down to weather-sealing.
