Ah, the Sony A7rII. Of all the mirrorless cameras released this year, this one has certainly been the most discussed. The most recent review we’ve come across about this camera is by Nasim Mansurov at Photography Life. In his article, he states that the first generation of Sony A7 series was experimental and unrefined, much like the first Fujifilm X-Pro1. With the A7r II, however, Sony has fixed many of the most critical issues and produced a “capable performer when compared to the best high-resolution DSLRs on the market.” He doesn’t feel it is perfect, mainly citing battery life and the poor menu system as the main issues, but he is impressed by Sony’s ability to “push through continuous innovation.”
