Though it can be used for sports and other genres, the Fujinon XF 90mm f/2’s true calling is portraiture. As such, it is always nice to see a review of this lens from someone who actually takes portraits for a living.
In this case, the reviewer Eivind Rohne specialises in fashion, lifestyle, portraits, and industrial subjects. Regarding the 90mm, he states at the beginning of his article:
…this lens has the perfect focal length. It’s long enough to do good things to the perspective and compression, but not too long, so you don’t end up too far away from your subject I think.
In his review, his thoughts about the lens as a tool are accompanied by six brilliantly executed portraits that range from full-body shots to close-up head shots.
