XEEN is a recent series of lenses designed by Samyang / Rokinon for video use. They are compatible with full frame 35mm format cameras and stand out for their bright apertures and affordable price (in comparison to other cine lenses). They all feature a calibrated focus scale in metric or imperial units, and de-clicked gear rings in identical locations, allowing you to concentrate more on shooting and less on operating the lenses.
Yesterday, Samyang announced two additional lenses, the 14mm T3.1 and 35mm T1.5, bringing the total number of XEEN lenses to five. Since the mounts are interchangeable, they can be used on a variety of cameras with the following mounts: PL, Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E and MFT.
The 14mm and 35mm will available in March 2016 at the recommended retail price of £1599 each. According to the official XEEN website, they will soon be followed by one more lens, though nothing is known about its specifications.
