Samyang / Rokinon has just announced a new premium wide-angle manual focus prime for the Sony E, Nikon F and Canon EF mounts: the 14mm f/2.4. Designed for high resolution 50 megapixel photo and 8K video shoots, this new lens has superior resolving power compared to previous lenses from the brand, with excellent edge-to-edge sharpness and minimised aberrations, flare and ghosting.
It consists of 18 glasses in 14 groups including four different special optics: two aspherical lenses, one hybrid aspherical lens, two extra-low dispersion lenses and one high refractive lens. The fast aperture of f/2.4 will also allow for a pleasant bokeh.
