Samyang has just announced the arrival of two new autofocus lenses for the full frame Sony E-Mount system, the 14mm f/2.8 ED AS IF UMC and 50mm f/1.4 AS IF UMC. They are the first autofocus lenses from Samyang for any system.
The 14mm is the widest angle available on the market for Sony E-mount, while the f/1.4 aperture of the 50mm is one of the brightest. Both feature a 67mm filter diameter and promise a beautiful bokeh and high quality images. Aspherical lenses have been included in both lenses to deliver corner-to-corner sharpness and minimise aberration and unnecessary light dispersion.
The lenses will be globally available from July 2016, and will first go on show at the Photo & Imaging 2016 Show in Seoul, South Korea. Further details are available on the Samyang website. Pricing and availability will follow.
