Panasonic announces the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH

February 26, 2018 By Admin

Today Panasonic introduced a new telephoto zoom lens, the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 50-200mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH. It offers an equivalent range of 100-400mm in 35mm format.

In a similar fashion to the existing lenses in the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit f/2.8-4.0 series, the new zoom is available in metallic black and sports weatherproofing against dust, moisture and cold temperatures.

It features 21 elements in 15 groups (2 aspherical lenses, 2 UED lenses, 2 ED lenses, 1 UHR lens), a 9 blade circular aperture, a minimum focus distance of 0.75m, and a 67mm filter thread.

Power O.I.S. is compatible with the Dual I.S. system of the latest Lumix cameras.

The 50-200mm will be available from the end of May for the retail price of £1599.99 / $1,697.99.
