Today German lens manufacturer Meyer-Optik-Goerlitz announced a new portrait lens for a number of mirrorless and DSLR mounts including Fuji X, Sony E, MFT, Leica M, Nikon and Canon. The new Trimagon 95mm f/2.6 is a fast portrait lens that, according to the official website, it is suitable for resolutions “from 60 million pixels and even more”. It has 3 elements in 3 groups, and an iris diaphragm with 15 specially calculated steel aperture blades with special anti-reflection coating. These blades promise rounded out-of-focus areas and a “harmonious bokeh effect.” It has an angle of view of 25° and a filter diameter of 52mm.
The lens will be available from the early summer (2016) and will cost €1,699 regardless of the mount you choose.
