Dmitri Popov adapts a vintage waist-level viewfinder to his EVF-less Sony NEX-3n

Does the lack of a viewfinder on your mirrorless camera make you want to pull your hair out at times? Then you may want to check out this unique DIY idea from Dmitri Popov who owns a Sony NEX-3N.

To solve the issue of excessive sunlight washing out the display, Dmitri decided to mount a vintage waist-level viewfinder that was originally meant for his Zenza Bronica ETRS and found that it was a near-perfect fit for the LCD display of the Sony camera.

Light leaks aren’t an issue with his new set-up either. To quote his article:

To prevent light leaks completely, I put a thick rubber band around the rails. This also adds some grip to the viewfinder when it sits on the display.
