Travelling the world with Fujifilm: Marrakesh, Lisbon, Indonesia, and Naples

If the Fujifilm X series has gained traction within one genre more than any other, it is travel photography. The cameras are highly lauded by the photographers who use them for their portability, design, and discreet appearance, all of which make them perfectly suited to travelling the world and capturing it as they go.

Today we’d like to feature three photographers who took their Fujifilm cameras on their travels and brought back some beautiful images.

The first post is by our friend V. Opoku who recently had the fortune of visiting Marrakesh in Morocco. He calls the city “beautiful and chaotic” and believes it “served as a timely reminder of why [he] loves travelling. I really enjoy V’s images because of the warmth they convey. Even when he takes landscapes and cityscapes, he almost always tries to include a human element to add an extra dimension of intimacy to the image.

The second is a blog post by Andy Mumford, a Lisbon-based landscape, travel and fine art photographer. Though he talks more about the advantages of Fujifilm compared to Nikon than the actual locations he visited, he doesn’t fail to include a number of very beautiful photographs shot in both Lisbon and Indonesia. I particularly love the image of the mist sweeping inside the caldera of Mount Bromo, which he captured with the X-T10 and XF 55-200mm.

Jorn Straten has written many evocative stories about his travels with the X-series cameras on his blog. They are so well-penned you would think you were reading a professional travel magazine. His most recent post, See Naples and Die, includes a full series of black and white documentary-style images from the city and a humorous account of what could happen to the unsuspecting visitor if caught off guard!
