Thomas Stirr documents New Zealand wildlife with the Nikon 1 V2 and 70-300mm

In preparation for a photography book he plans to release in 2017, Thomas Stirr and his wife travelled to New Zealand to photograph the country’s landscapes. While there, he also managed to capture many images of the country’s wildlife. Just recently, he began sharing some of these images in a series of blog posts, the first of which you can find here.

In his first post, Thomas talks about his encounters with fur seals, dolphins, penguins, and various other sea birds, both common and rare. He was able to capture a number of beautiful images of these animals using his Nikon 1 V2 and CX 70-300mm (189-810mm equivalent in 35mm terms).

We invite you to follow Thomas’ blog to see his upcoming posts about New Zealand!
