All photographers know that, with time, working solely on commercial projects for clients can become repetitious and soul-destroying. This is why many professional photographers embark on personal projects to get the creative juices flowing.
Graham Carruthers, a Fujifilm X-T1 user, recently decided that the best way to break out of that all-too-common creative rut was to capture the natural and industrial beauty of the city of Durban, South Africa.
His first shoot took place on Moyo Pier near the Durban beachfront where he used the X-T1 with the XF 14mm and 23mm coupled with his friend’s LEE Little Stopper (6-stops) and various ND filters. The images he’s shared are the first of many he plans to take in and around the city over the next few months.
