BoredPanda recently shared a fun article by Andrew S. Gibson who, with the help of his friend Tess, created some awesome light paintings using just the Fujifilm X-Pro1, XF 18mm, and a FutureHoop, an electronic hula hoop with internal lights.
They decided to take the images at dusk so that they could capture the detail in the background whilst allowing the brightness of the hula hoop to dominate the scene. To take the images, Andrew left the shutter open for 2-4 seconds, giving the camera enough time to record the trail left by Tess moving the hoop.
