Olympus has announced a slew of firmware updates for four of its cameras and two of its PRO lenses. To find out more about the updates that apply to each product, keep on reading!
Olympus OM-D E-M1 II (firmware 2.0)
- New Bleach Bypass art filter has been added
- Possible to use focus stacking with 12-100mm f/4 PRO
- Small targets have been added to AF target mode
- Possible to set a maximum of 35 pre-shutter frames for Pro Capture shooting.
- Display has been improved to show that Pro Capture shooting is recording.
- Flicker Scan has been added so it is possible to reduce flickering by fine adjustment of shutter speed
- Live fisheye compensation photography has been added for use of the 8mm f/1.8 PRO
- Possible to set zoom ratio during playback. Added pixel equivalence display to zoom ratio
- Pro Capture shooting is available for additional lenses
- Display of remaining battery power has been improved
- Response when assigning AF to AEL/AFL button has been improved
- Stability of camera operation when using OLYMPUS Capture has been improved
- Stability of image stabiliser operation when shooting video has been improved
- Performance of C-AF when shooting still images has been improved
- Colour reproduction of photographed images has been improved
- Stability of operation when shooting still images has been improved
- Corrected issue of autofocus function not operating correctly when using the Leica DG Elmarit 200mm f/2.8
Olympus OM-D E-M1 (firmware 4.4)
- Corrected issue of autofocus function not operating correctly when using the Leica DG Elmarit 200mm f/2.8
Olympus OM-D E-M5 II (firmware 4.0)
- New Bleach Bypass art filter has been added
- Focus Stacking has been added
- Corrected issue of autofocus function not operating correctly when using the Leica DG Elmarit 200mm f/2.8
Pen F (firmware 3.0)
- New Bleach Bypass art filter has been added.
- Possible to set shading effects for Color Creator and Color Profile Control
- Possible to use OLYMPUS Digital Camera Updater to save monochrome profiles and color profiles of images you like to the camera’s monochrome profiles and color profiles
- Corrected issue of autofocus function not operating correctly when using the Leica DG Elmarit 200mm f/2.8
M.Zuiko 12-100mm f/4 PRO (firmware 1.3) and 300mm f/4 PRO (firmware 1.4)
- Stability of image stabiliser operation has been improved
