Matt Hart explains why the Fujifilm X-T10 has become his go-to camera

Ask any Fujifilm user which camera they prefer for street photography, and most will respond with a model from the X100 series. There are a few reasons for this including the rangefinder design, hybrid viewfinder, compact body, the same X-Trans II APS-C sensor found inside the interchangeable models, and of course, the excellent 23mm f/2 lens.

Street photographer Matt Hart used to feel the same way. Owner of every camera in the X series, he’d often turn to his X100T for street photography while using the weatherproof X-T1 for events.

Now, his favourite camera in the range is the X-T10, which he tends to use with the 27mm pancake lens and new 35mm f/2. As to why he loves the camera, he states:

It’s small enough to be invisible for Street but has a great viewfinder and perfect size rear screen for me to teach Landscape and Long Exposure classes.

Having used the X-T10 for a week in Toronto, I can concur that it is an excellent street companion. It is the same size as the X100T but you have the added bonus of being interchangeable. Moreover, it has a tilting screen which is advantageous if you want to shoot while pretending to look at your screen or take pictures from awkward angles.
