Fujifilm has just announced a slew of firmware updates for its cameras and lenses, the most important being firmware 2.00 for the X-Pro2.
Version 2.00 fixes some bugs and brings multiple updates to the camera, putting it on a similar level to the X-T2. You can see a full list by checking out the official Fujifilm website, but some of the most important include:
- an increase in the number of AF points
- improvements to the AF-C tracking mode and phase detection AF accuracy
- compatibility with the EF-X500 shoe mount flash
- you can assign new functions to the Quick menu and function buttons
Many XF lenses also received a firmware update including the 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 23mm f/1.4, 27mm, 35mm f/1.4, 60mm, 10-24mm, 16-55mm, 18-55mm, 18-135mm and XC 16-50mm II. You can see the full list here.
Not to be left out, the original X-Pro1 also received a small update:
“The corrected AF frame in the OVF is fixed on the recommended value described in the Owner’s manual. If the minimum focus range of the attached lens is greater than the recommended value, the frame is displayed on the position of the minimum focus range.”
As always, it is great to see that Fujifilm is committed to updating its products regardless of their age!
