Leica has just announced a brand new macro prime for the Leica T, bringing the total number of lenses for the system to six. The APO-Macro-Elmarit-TL 60mm f/2.8 ASPH (90mm equivalent in full-frame terms) features 10 lenses in 9 groups with 4 aspherical surfaces, a reproduction ratio of 1:1 and a close-focusing distance of 0.16m. It weighs 320g, has an aperture range of 2.8 to 32 and is compatible with all Leica cameras with an L-bayonet mount.
With a choice of a black or silver anodised finish, the new 60mm macro will be available from mid-September at a suggested retail price of £1,800 / $2,995. The lens hood for the lens retails separately at £80.
