Meike releases four mirrorless manual focus lenses (25mm, 28mm, 35mm and 50mm)

By now, news of Meike‘s four manual focus lenses for the MFT, Sony, Fujifilm, Nikon and Canon mirrorless systems has probably reached your ears. The announcement came somewhat as a surprise because Meike is known as a producer and supplier of camera accessories, not a lens manufacturer. The lenses, which are rebranded version of existing Kaxinda lenses, are as follows:

  • Meike 25mm f/0.95: A wide angle prime with a very fast maximum aperture. It comprises 10 groups of 12 lens elements.
  • Meike 28mm f/2.8: A pancake lens with 6 elements in 5 groups.
  • Meike 35mm f/1.7: Another compact and light lens with a fast aperture and 6 elements in 5 groups.
  • Meike 50mm f/2.0: A standard lens with 6 elements in 5 groups.

All four lenses feature a full metal build and are relatively affordable with the exception of the 25mm, which comes in at around $600. The 28mm, 35mm, and 50mm all have the same 49mm filter thread, while the 25mm has a measurement of 55mm.

Although not many people have been able to review the lenses yet, 43rumors pointed out that EPhotoZine has shared some high resolution sample images taken with the 25mm f/0.95 on the Olympus OM-D E-M5 (MFT mount), as well as reviews of the 35mm and 50mm.
