Following his article about light painting with the Nikon 1 series, photographer Tom Stirr decided to wrap up 2015 by sharing his three go-to lenses for the system – what he calls the “Nikon 1 Holy Trinity.” Surprisingly, the three lenses he has chosen aren’t primes – rather, they are zoom lenses that, when combined, give you an equivalent field of view of 18-810mm.
Right from the word go, he clearly states that the article is not a comparison with the Nikon full-frame system. In his words:
It is simply an article that focuses on what I believe are the three key Nikon 1 zoom lenses to own in terms of getting the broadest functionality along with solid image quality.
If you are interested in investing in a Nikon 1 camera, there really isn’t a better resource than Tom’s website. In addition to many practical articles, he regularly shares beautiful images taken with these cameras, showing their potential for a variety of genres.
