Extending the battery life of Fujifilm cameras – Tips from a trip to Morocco

When Johann van der Walt arrived in Morocco for this year’s GPU biennial photography congress, he never imagined that his checked baggage would go missing for four days, along with all his battery chargers. Having brought only a couple of batteries for his Fujifilm cameras, he was forced to conserve the battery life as much as possible, using different techniques he’d discovered over the years. In the end, he managed to make one battery last a full day of intense shooting, which is quite impressive given that Fujifilm batteries are renowned for their short life span!

He lists all his techniques in his full article, which you can read on FujiLove.

The moral of this story? Always pack your essential camera gear in your carry-on luggage! 🙂
