Admiring Light has mixed feelings about the Panasonic Lumix GX8

Time to take a well-needed break from the onslaught of Fujifilm news and take a look at a refreshing review of the Panasonic Lumix GX8 written by Jordan Steele of Admiring Light!

Jordan used the camera for more time than he usually gets for his camera reviews. Although he showers praise where praise is most definitely due, citing the excellent image quality, advanced levels of customisation and responsiveness, he admits that he never really meshed with the controls and layout of the camera. In his own words:

Usually, within a few days, I become very comfortable with the controls, the layout of dials and buttons [of a new camera], and I just never found that with the GX8, even though I tested it for a few days more than I get to test most cameras.

Of course, Jordan admits that his feelings are subjective and may not be shared by everyone. What’s more, his discomfort with the design did not stop him from taking some wonderful images at the Devil’s Bathtub in Virginia and around his hometown which can be found at the very end of the article.
