Nissin announces the i60A Speedlight with radio receiver

nissin i60A

Nissin has announced another compact speed light to accompany the popular i40. The new i60A is available for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Micro Four Thirds and Fujifilm. It features TTL, HSS and a 2.4GHz built-in radio receiver. It becomes the second flash to be compatible with the Nissin Air System (NAS) and Air 1 radio commander unit after the Di700A.

The i60A has enhanced capabilities in comparison to the i40. The guide number is 60M (ISO 100 / 200mm) and the zoom range is 24-200mm. You get a colour LCD display and an HV battery port. The size however remains similar to the i40 which means it is, on paper, an excellent choice for mirrorless cameras.

The i60A can be used in slave mode off-camera with the Nissin Air 1 Commander. It is compatible with TTL, HSS up to 1/8000th of a second, Rear Curtain Sync, Remote Manual Power Control, Remote Zoom Control and 3 Groups (A / B / C).

What is also interesting is that all versions include Canon, Nikon, and Sony TTL radio slave modes to be used off-camera (with the Air 1 Commander unit). So, for example, you can use an Air 1 Canon version mounted on a Canon camera and control an i60A Nikon version off-camera with full functionalities.

The Nissin i60A will be available in May 2016. The Canon and Nikon versions will come first and the other versions will follow shortly. The price has not yet been announced.
