Leica just released a new firmware update for the Leica T. Version 1.5, as it is called, introduces a function called Wi-Fi DIRECT that allows you to transfer images directly from the camera to the Leica T mobile app on your mobile iSO device. This operation would seem quite basic with other Wi-Fi enabled cameras but it was lacking on the Leica T. The only option was to connect both the camera and the app to another connection like the Wi-Fi you have at home. I’m glad that Leica has finally fixed this annoying limitation. The connection speed has also been improved.
